This policy explains how the Water Reminder - Drink Tracker Android app ("the app"), developed by Appivanta Softwares ("we", "us"), handles information. We built the app to work without accounts or servers.

1. Information stored on your device

Your profile details (weight, age, gender, activity level, wake and sleep times), daily water goal, drink history, achievements and settings are stored only on your device. We do not have servers, and we do not collect, upload, sell or share this information.

2. Notifications

Drink water reminders are scheduled locally on your device. You can turn them off at any time in the app's Settings or in your device's system settings.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app is free and shows ads provided by Google AdMob. To show, measure and limit ads and to prevent fraud, Google may automatically collect and process information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address (used for approximate location), device and app information, and ad interaction data. This is handled by Google as described in Google's Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in Settings > Ad privacy choices. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your Android device settings.

4. Backups

The optional backup feature copies your data as text to your device clipboard. Where you paste or store that text is under your control.

5. Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Data retention and deletion

All app data remains on your device until you delete it. Use Settings > Reset all data in the app, or uninstall the app, to permanently remove it. For data processed by Google AdMob, use your Google and Android advertising settings.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the UK GDPR, EU GDPR or US state privacy laws such as the CCPA), you may have rights to access, delete or object to the processing of personal information. Because we do not hold your personal data on any server, most requests can be fulfilled directly in the app or through your device and Google settings. You may also contact us.

8. Health disclaimer

The app provides general hydration guidance and is not medical advice. Consult a healthcare professional if you have a condition that affects your fluid intake.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
